Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Provide strategic guidance to the Tech & Innovation group to address current and future technology trends in Unified Communications and Collaboration and adjacent technologies.
- Engage with UCC & Workplace management business development personnel to meet with customers, discover opportunities for product and services sales, and assist in the development of those specific opportunities. These activities to include hosting technical workshops and other customer engagement activities.
- Partner with UCC Global Practice leads to provide technical support and guidance for our strategic goals of specific UCC Practices.
- Serve as a Tier 4 technical resource for key customer opportunities, high profile projects, and Quickstart Pilot Programs.
- Represent and position the company as the global leader in the areas of innovation and technology via media opportunities, trade magazine interviews and articles, trade show presentations, and other media opportunities
- Coordination with procurement department to assist in preferred partner vendor selection & utilization within the internal technical community
- Direct interaction with preferred vendor technical leadership to evaluate product and discuss/shape technology roadmaps
- Develop UCC training strategies for internal departments based on technologies, tools & processes that are created & rolled out to various internal groups
- Partners with senior leadership to understand business needs, drivers & direction in order to align engineering with company needs
- Participate in the development of projects that consist of a variety of challenges and cross-departmental coordination as it relates to new business creation, business innovation, new products and strategic initiatives
- Development & maintenance of predefined, repeatable solutions to improve sales velocity, executed margins, preferred partner utilization & overall customer experience
- Drive a strong customer service mind-set within the internal technical community
- Builds long-term relationships within the team & among peers by creating an environment of accomplishment, encouragement & innovation
- Travel to regional offices to directly interface with technical leadership and team members on an as needed basis
- Special projects as required
Minimum of a 4-year degree or comparable industry experience is required. Master’s degree is preferred
5+ years of experience in a leadership role focused on Service Strategy and Service Design
5+ years of experience in the audio visual or collaboration industry is preferred
ITIL Foundations certification or comparable industry certification is required. ITIL Expert
